In the resources section we hope to provide both information and contact details we feel will be of use to both buyers and sellers in order to make a more informed decision.

We have included information on title deeds which are known as Chanotes in Thailand.  There are several levels of ownership which we aim to explain here.

The next part is land measurement which is also a different system from the Western world.  In Thailand land is measured in Rai:Ngaan:Talang Wah rather the usual square metres/feet, Acres and Hectares.  There’s a conversion chart to help work out the size.

Our final part of this section is the property taxes where we explain how much they might cost and which party is liable to pay for them.

We hope the information included here will help to demystify and answer some of the queries you may have in what can often seem a daunting task for anyone unfamiliar with buying property in Thailand.
